PlayStation FIFA 23 Tournament

:Terms of participation

1-Participation is open to all college students.

2-FIFA 23 version is the approved one for this tournament on the PS4 platform.

3-The participant is considered withdrawn if they are delayed for more than 10 minutes from the start of the match, and the other competitor advances to the next round.”

4-The duration of each match is 10 minutes.

5-The tournament will be held in person on the ground floor at the College of Engineering and Computer Science.

6-The tournament is held with a single-elimination system for the loser in one round.

7-Prizes are awarded to the winners in the first, second, and third positions.

Scientific Seminar Entitled “MIMO antenna matrix for 5G millimeter waves”

The Scientific Research Committee of the College of Engineering and Computer Science, along with the Department of Electronics and Communications, organized a scientific seminar titled “5G Millimeter Wave MIMO Antenna Arrays”. The seminar was presented by Dr. Rania Hamdi on Thursday, October 5th.

The seminar discussed the latest developments in 5G cellular communication technology, with a focus on 5G millimeter wave MIMO antenna arrays. Various technical and application aspects related to antenna technology were discussed during the seminar.

The seminar resulted in several important learning outcomes, including:  

  1. Clarification of advanced methods for analyzing and designing 5G millimeter wave MIMO antenna arrays.
  2. Providing an overview of recent developments in 5G antenna technology.
  3. Enhancing researchers’ and students’ understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with 5G antenna technology.
  4. Applications of these millimeter wave antennas in the medical sector.

This seminar is part of ongoing efforts to enhance scientific research and innovation in the field of engineering and computer science, and to provide a platform for researchers and students to learn about the latest developments in communication technology.

Scientific Seminar Entitled “Analysis and Design of High Gain Antena”

The Scientific Research Committee of the College of Engineering and Computer Science and the Department of Electronics and Communications organized a seminar titled “Analysis and Design of High Gain Lens Antennas”. The seminar was presented by Dr. Walaa Mohamed Sobhy AbdelAziz Hassan on Tuesday, October 3rd.

The seminar discussed the latest developments in high gain lens antenna technology, with a focus on the analysis and design of the antennas. Various technical and application aspects related to antenna technology were discussed during the seminar.

  2.  Providing an overview of recent developments in antenna technology.

The Scientific Research Committee of the College of Engineering and Computer Science and the Department of Electronics and Communications organized a seminar titled “ASIC and FPGA Design and Implementation for High-Speed Ethernet System”. The seminar was presented by Dr. Eman Salem Abdelaziz on Monday, October 2nd.

The seminar discussed the latest developments in FPGA technology, focusing on the design and implementation of a high-speed Ethernet system using ASIC and FPGA technologies. Various technical and application aspects related to FPGA technology were discussed during the seminar.

This seminar is part of ongoing efforts to enhance scientific research and innovation in the field of engineering and computer science, and to provide a platform for researchers and students to learn about the latest developments in communication technology.

Orientation Program for New Students at the College of Engineering and Computer Science for the Academic Year 2023-2024

Continuing to provide support and guidance to students, the Student Activities Committee, in cooperation with the Support, Counseling and Academic Affairs Unit and the Academic Affairs Unit at the college, organized an orientation program for new students.

Organized on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 10:00 am, the program aims to provide important details in the academic life of the student. The program included the following:

1. Dean’s Speech:

The program opened with a speech from His Excellency the Dean of the College, where he welcomed the new students, explained the vision and mission of the College, and described the College’s role in developing and improving students’ skills in line with the labor market.

2. Definition of the university and college:

In this part, an introductory overview of the university was presented, in addition to reviewing important information about the college and the scientific departments available in it. The services and facilities available to students and how to benefit from them were highlighted.

3. Student Activities:

An overview of the student activities offered by the college was presented, in addition to providing examples of some of the distinctive activities that students can participate in that aim to enhance social interaction and develop personal skills.

4. Academic Advising:
The Head of the Academic Advising Unit gave a presentation explaining the role of academic advising and student support in facilitating students’ academic journey. The importance of academic advising, the role of the academic advisor, and how to benefit from the academic advising process in overcoming the student’s difficulties were highlighted.

5. Academic Affairs:
The Director of Academic Affairs gave an overview of the academic portal that students need during their studies. Important academic movements of students were also clarified.

6. Website:

The importance of the college’s website and how to benefit from it to access important academic information, such as study plans, course details, additional resources, including the assistance in preparing study schedules, electronic bag, student forms, electronic portal and other services.

7. A tour of the college facilities:
At the end of the program, the students toured the university and college facilities, where they visited the Central Library and the Future Center for Industrial Innovation, in addition to a comprehensive tour of the laboratories in the college.
